How to Find Your Google Review Link (and Where to Share It)
WebScaling Team · October 06, 2026 · 7 min read

Most happy customers are willing to leave a review. They just won't go hunting for your business on Google to do it. Your Google review link fixes that. It's a short link that opens the "write a review" box for your business directly, so leaving a review takes one tap instead of five.
This guide shows you how to find your link in under a minute, how to get Google's free review QR code, and where to share both so the reviews actually come in.
What is a Google review link?
A Google review link is a web address that takes a customer straight to the review form on your Google Business Profile. It usually looks like this:
https://g.page/r/XXXXXXXXXXXX/review
The part in the middle is unique to your business. It isn't tied to any one customer, so you can use the same link everywhere: texts, emails, invoices, your website and printed cards.
How to find your Google review link (desktop, about 1 minute)
You need to be signed in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile.
Go to Google Search and type my business, or search for your business name. Your Business Profile management panel appears at the top.
Select Read reviews.
Select Get more reviews. On some accounts this button says Ask for reviews.
Select Copy to copy your review link.
That's it. Paste the link somewhere safe, like a note on your phone, so you always have it ready.
Tip: Copy the link from the "Get more reviews" box, not from your public listing on Google Maps. The listing URL opens your profile; the review link opens the review form, which is what you want.
How to get your Google review QR code
Google now gives you a free QR code for reviews in the same box as the link. Customers scan it with their phone camera and land on your review form.
Follow the steps above to open Get more reviews.
Right-click the QR code.
Select Save image as...
One catch: according to Google's help page, review QR codes can currently only be created on a computer browser, not on a phone. If you're on mobile, grab the link on your phone now and download the QR code next time you're at a computer.
Finding your review link on your phone
On the Google Maps app, tap your profile picture, open Your Business Profiles, choose your business, then go to Read reviews and Get more reviews to share the link. If the app doesn't show a link you can copy, use Google Search in your phone's browser and follow the desktop steps above.
Test your link before you share it
Open the link in a private or incognito browser window. You should see your business name and the star rating box. If it only opens your profile, or shows an error, go back to Get more reviews and copy a fresh link. Don't edit the link by hand.
Where to share your Google review link
The best time to ask for a review is right after a job goes well, while the customer still remembers how good it was. Here are the places that make that easy:
A text message after the job. For most local businesses this is the one that works best, because customers read texts. Keep it short and personal (template below).
Your invoice or receipt. Add a line like "Happy with the work? It would mean a lot if you left us a quick Google review" with the link or QR code.
Your thank-you or follow-up email. Put the link on its own line so it's easy to tap.
Your email signature. Every email you send becomes a gentle reminder.
Your website. Add a "Leave us a review" link in the footer or on your contact page.
Printed cards and stickers. Print the QR code on a business card or a small card you leave behind after the job, or display it at your counter if customers visit you.
At the end of a chat. If you answer customers by chat or WhatsApp, finish a good conversation by sharing the link.

Text message
Hi [Name], thanks for choosing [Business] today! If you have a minute, we'd really appreciate an honest Google review. It helps other people in [Area] find us: [review link]
Subject: How did we do, [Name]?
Hi [Name],
Thanks again for having us out for [job]. We hope everything is working perfectly.
If you have a minute, we'd be grateful if you could share your honest experience on Google. It takes less than a minute and helps other local customers decide who to call:
[review link]
Thank you,
[Your name], [Business]
Follow-up reminder (a few days later)
Hi [Name], just a gentle reminder in case it slipped your mind. If you have a moment, here's the link to leave us a Google review: [review link]. Thanks either way!
Send one reminder at most. More than that starts to feel pushy.
Google's rules: what you can and can't do
Asking for reviews is completely fine. Google even encourages it. But there are a few rules you need to follow, or Google can remove reviews and restrict your profile.
Ask everyone, not just happy customers. Only sending your link to people you think will leave five stars is called "review gating", and it goes against Google's policy. Ask every genuine customer for an honest review.
No rewards for reviews. Discounts, freebies, gift cards or entry into a prize draw in exchange for a review are treated as fake engagement and are not allowed.
Only real customers. Don't ask friends, family or staff to review you, and never buy reviews.
Don't ask for a specific rating. "Please leave us five stars" isn't allowed. "Please share your honest experience" is.
Common problems (and fixes)
I can't find the "Get more reviews" button
Your Business Profile probably isn't verified yet, or you're signed in to the wrong Google account. Check you're using the account that manages the profile, and finish verification if Google asks for it. Don't create a second profile just to get a link.
The link opens my profile, not the review form
You've likely copied the public listing URL. Go back to Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the link from there.
A customer says they can't leave a review
Customers need to be signed in to a Google account to post a review. They don't need a Gmail address, though. A Google account can be created with any email address.
Make asking for reviews automatic
Having the link is step one. The hard part is remembering to send it after every single job, at the right moment, and following up once if the customer forgets.
That's exactly what our Google review automation does. When a job is marked complete, your customer automatically gets a friendly text with your review link, and one gentle reminder a couple of days later if they haven't left a review yet. Every customer is asked the same way, so you stay within Google's rules, and you never have to remember to do it yourself.

FAQ
Is my Google review link free?
Yes. The review link and the QR code are free features of your Google Business Profile.
Does my Google review link ever change?
Normally it stays the same for as long as your Business Profile exists. But if something changes with your profile, such as a change of ownership or a merged duplicate profile, the link can change. If an old link stops opening the review form, copy a fresh one from Get more reviews.
Can I send my review link to lots of customers at once?
Yes, as long as they're all genuine customers and you ask every one of them for an honest review. Google's own advice includes adding the link to receipts and thank-you emails.
Can I offer a discount for a review?
No. Google doesn't allow any reward in exchange for posting, changing or removing a review.
Do customers need a Gmail account to leave a review?
They need a Google account, but it can use any email address, not just Gmail.
